Retired School Teacher
“I'm supporting Bob Roggio because I believe in his honesty, his hard work, and his uncompromising ethics. I was Bob's French teacher in high school, but really got to know him as a little league coach over a period of 6 years.
“As a coach, Bob taught sportsmanship, team spirit, perseverance, and fairness. He didn't cultivate superstars. Rather he encouraged each member on the team to do their best for the common goal, and to keep working until the job was done!”
“The players learned how to cooperate, and how to succeed. When Bob’s children were grown and he no longer coached, he became an ambassador to the Little League. He fought to create the Field of Dreams in Berwyn, so that future generations had a place to play baseball. There was no selfish interest involved, but Bob was able to see the need and the dream, and work to make it a reality.
“I believe that Washington needs someone like Bob Roggio. He’s a team player who will reach across the aisle to get things done, but will always play fair and be honest. Bob has the rare gift of being able to look beyond the immediate and think about the next generation.”
