Bob Roggio: Democratic Candidate for Congress
Pennsylvania's 6th Congressional District
Bob Roggio is a proven leader who has achieved success in business and the public sectors alike. The keys to Bob’s success have been his work ethic and his ability to collaborate with, listen to, and inspire people with differing viewpoints.

Bob Roggio traveled a unique path into the world of politics. At the age of 21, following the sudden death of his father, Bob left college and began working full time to support his mother and help his younger siblings. During this period, Bob also served in the Army Reserves. Through the course of a 30-year career at Zenith Products Corporation, a manufacturer of bathroom organizational products, Bob rose to the position of Senior Vice President and became a principal partner overseeing operations for a company that had grown to 600 employees.

Bob has strong roots in Chester County, where he has lived for the past 36 years. Bob and his wife of 34 years, Jeannie, raised three children in the Tredyffrin-Easttown school district before moving to a small horse farm in Charlestown Township in 1995. Even while working to grow Zenith Products Corporation, Bob remained active in the community. Not only did he coach each of his kids’ Little League teams (including coaching his son’s team to a second place finish in the state), he also served as President of the Berwyn-Paoli Little League. In fact, the league honored the contributions of both Bob and Jeannie by naming one of its fields after them.

In 1994, Bob and his partners sold Zenith to the Masco Corporation. Bob stayed on as Senior Vice President of the new division for five more years. After concluding his work for Masco, Bob attempted to settle into an early retirement. However, Bob’s intellectual curiosity and the persistent sense of an unfulfilled goal led him to enroll as a full time student at Penn State University. In just two years, Bob completed a B.A. in American Studies, graduating, at age 56, with high distinction.

In 2004, Bob served as the Philadelphia Volunteer Coordinator for Senator John Kerry’s presidential campaign. Bob played a key role in helping Senator Kerry win Philadelphia by a wide margin on the way to carrying the state of Pennsylvania. In 2006, Bob was asked to utilize his skills and talents in the role of Suburban Philadelphia Coordinator for Senator Bob Casey’s campaign. Bob Roggio delivered again, helping Senator Casey win a decisive victory over incumbent Senator Rick Santorum. Bob went on to work as Senator Casey’s field representative in southeastern Pennsylvania.

In recent years, Bob has become increasingly active in the community. In 2005, Bob spent several weeks volunteering for the Red Cross in Florida, providing aid in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita. At the local level, Bob founded the Great Valley Citizens Forum, a nonpartisan organization committed to fact-based, balanced exploration of complex local and national issues. Bob has also served on the Charlestown Open Space Commission, the Charlestown Parks & Recreation Board, and as Vice President of the Charlestown Civic Association.

Bob Roggio has a record of accomplishment in the business, political, governmental, and non-profit worlds, and he is committed to serving the best interests of the communities in the 6th congressional district.
