“I have known Bob Roggio for a number of years. Bob and I served within our community on different committees and organizations. Bob worked with me on the Board of the Charlestown Civic Association when I was President and with his help we were able to bring the public in to better understand our township government. Bob and I served as volunteers on a committee which developed a presentation to convince Charlestown Township Board of Supervisors on the importance of acquiring 56 acres of open space for the township. This was the beginning of the townships aggressive approach into open space preservation.
“Bob and I were then appointed to the newly formed Open Space Commission. Charlestown Township is known throughout the state for their very successful program. Charlestown Township has preserved over 1000 acres in the township. Bob Roggio helped to lead this effort early on.
“I am one Republican who does not want a Congressman who continually supports a Runaway budget deficit caused by writing blank checks with no accountability on the expenditures made.
